This week's ride will celebrate the 4 new benches installed on the Mountain Division Recreation Trail in Fryeburg. These benches were sourced by Dave Kinsman, purchased by the MWV Bicycling Club, and installed by the Fryeburg Public Works Department. Dave Kinsman has organized a photo shoot and press release for the benches, and ThursdayBikers can be in the photos! Dave calls this event "The Bench Press"!!
Meet at the Maine Visitor's Center parking lot, in Fryeburg, ready to ride at 9:30 am.
The ride will do the photo shoot then cruise the bike path to locate the 4 benches, then return and do the nice new pavement on Haleytown Road. Ride out to the 5 corners in Brownfield and return via Pig Street and Sam Brown Hill. Total miles, including the 8 on the Bikepath, will be about 27. Shorten it a few miles if you bypass Sam Brown Hill.
