The weather and snow conditions are not good enough for either biking or xc skiing this Thursday. Once the snow falls look for xc ski postings for Thursdays or Wednesdays! Check out next week, if the weather allows for a ride on Christmas Eve or Christmas Day, I will post one, a record for ThursdayBike!

Thinking ahead to next year's bike adventures...
Check out the C&O Canal/Great Allegheny Passage bike tour offered by Adventure Cycling next fall, September 17-24, 2016. A few ThursdayBikers have already signed up for this tour! Perhaps you would like to join in? The ride starts in Washington DC and ends in Pittsburgh, riding the historic C&O Canal Path and the Great Allegheny Passage Rail Trail.
The tour is an 8 day fully supported camping tour, which means a truck carries the baggage, meals are catered, campsites are in campgrounds with showers. Two nights are in hotels. Bikes and tires should be able to handle packed dirt and double track on the C&O and hard packed stone dust on the GAP (hybrid, touring, cyclocross preferred, mountain bike OK with a change to lighter tires for a better ride).
