The Bear Notch Loop
The day looks great for a bike ride if we start early and end before the heat and/or the thunderstorms. Let's do the Bear Notch Loop before the summer traffic gets out there!
Start time: 9:00 am, ready to ride
Start location: Public parking area behind the Eastern Slope Inn, North Conway
Route: The counterclockwise loop. Get the climbing over with early this way. When you make it to the top of Bear Notch Road (mile 15), enjoy the endless downhill (with a tailwind..) on Bear Notch Road, the Kanc and Passaconaway. This is 25 miles of downhill or flat cruising. One of the best rides outside of Storyland!

Total Miles: 39
Shorter Option: Start at the Attitash parking lot and ride up Bear Notch Road. Start at 9:15, take your time and those that started at Eastern Slope should catch up with you on Bear Notch Road.
Summit Bear Notch then either return back to your car at Attitash (total of about 15 miles) .... OR....!! If you have a friend that started at Eastern Slope ... Ride the rest of the loop to enjoy the Kanc/Passaconaway/West Side to Eastern Slope and have your friend drive you to your car at Attitiash. This would cut out about 8 miles.
