Thursday December 14th YEAH!!
Early season skiing is sweet...cold and windy, but wonderful snow!!
How about meeting at JacksonXC, in the lodge, ready to ski at 10:00? We can pick the best trails of the day and head out. The trails today were a bit soft, asking for faceplants on steep downhills, I would think. Tomorrow's groom should firm it up and we might be able to head out the Ellis or up the Hall.
We will see how the weather, snow and early season legs and arms come together for the distance and plan. It will be great to see everyone out there again!
There are new passes being made at Jackson this year, so don't waste time looking for the old pass!
Forecast is for about 18 degrees, partly sunny with strong wind from the west, much like today. I really appreciated having a balaclava/facemask/neck warmer today to get across the golf course against that wind....bring one for tomorrow.
