Let's do the Bear Notch "Tour de Bartlett". It will be cold, with a west wind, so we will travel with the wind behind us from the ski touring center to Attitash on the groomed trails.
The Tour de Bartlett starts at the Bear Notch Ski Touring Center and goes up into the Experimental Forest, crosses Bear Notch Road, travels down an excellent trail to the railroad tracks.We then will ski east on the tracks and cross Route 302 to Thorne Pond and then on the trails through the woods to Attitash.
To do this one way tour, meet in the Attitash parking lot, near Matty B's. We cannot park right behind Matty B's, but we can park as close as we can in the ski area lot. Meet there at 10:00 am. We will leave a few cars there then carpool over to the ski touring center.
If you live near Bear Notch, just meet us there at 10:15 am and you will get a ride back to your car at the end of the skiing with the rest of the drivers.
Dress warmly and bring food and a thermos of a hot beverage. We can enjoy bread and soup a the touring center on our return.
