Saturday Chowda' Fest Ride

Saturday April 14th 2012

Looks like we will have a Sunny Warm Saturday!!!

There will be a "Chowda' Fest" on Saturday afternoon in North Fryeburg at the Saco Valley Fire Station. This is where we often meet and park for rides in the North Fryeburg region. It is a benefit for the efforts to restore the Old Stowe Town Hall. It is lots of Chowda' tasting and a contest to determine the best Chowda' (can be clam, fish, lobster, corn or vegetarian).

I'll bet there is none of that "Manhattan" red stuff....

An eight dollar donation allows you all you can slurp.

Here is the link for the event:

The festivities and tastings commence at 4:30 pm, so how about doing a ride in the North Fryeburg/Stow area first and then going for the Chowda' at 4:30?

The ride will start at the park next to the Saco Valley Fire Station in North Fryeburg, corner of Route 113 and South Chatham Road, then travels out to Cornshop Road, looping back on Fish Street to MacNeil, then up Union Hill Road to Meadow Road to the Stow Store. This will give a 23 mile ride. Adding the Chatham loop adds another 7 miles.

Meet at 2:00 pm.

Park far away from the fire station, off the road along the park or across the street so as not to block the area for the Chowda' Festivities.
