Weather to Ride or Weather not to Ride???

Thursday April 12th and Saturday April 14th "Chowda' Fest"

That is the question.....

I did a short ride today in sun, clouds, drizzle, rain and hail. Looks like a similar weather pattern again tomorrow. It was still nice to get out and pedal for awhile. Here is a meeting time and place and tomorrow morning look out your window and decide whether or not it is riding weather or not.

11:00 am, ready to ride in North Conway, at the public parking lot behind the Eastern Slope Inn. The ride will be either West Side Road and Passaconaway (20 miles) or a shorter Tour De North Conway (over to Cranmore, up Old Barteltt Road, Intervale Cross, route 16A to Town Hall Road and back). Route choice will be made at the meeting point depending on weather and depending on who (if anyone!!) shows up.

Sunny Warm Saturday!!!

Saturday looks like a great day to ride. I heard that there will be a "Chowda' Fest" on Saturday afternoon in North Fryeburg at the Saco Valley Fire Station. This is where we often meet and park for rides in the North Fryeburg region. It is a benefit for the efforts to restore the Old Stowe Town Hall. It alot of Chowda' tasting and a contest to determine the best Chowda' (can be clam, fish, lobster, corn or vegetarian). Eight dollars give you all you can slurp. Here is the link:

I am still arranging a meeting/parking place, since I don't want to interfere with the fest by parking in our usual spot.

The festivities and tastings commence at 4:30 pm, so I will set up a sunny, warm, mid-afternoon ride (start at 2:00) over in the North Fryeburg flats and Stow Store area (20 to 25 mile ride).

Check this blog or the Mount Washington Valley Bicycling Club website for more details - I will post details tomorrow night. If you don't want to ride but want to taste chowda, just meet the riders at the fest at 4:30.
